Generally Specific

For those of you that may not know I am a die hard Rise Against fan. I first heard "Savior" on my way home from a friend's house a few years back and immediately sougt out for other songs by the band. Luckily to my surprise one of my best friends just happened to be an RA fan and let me borrow the CDs to listen to. From then on I've constantly continued to listen to their music. Now for those of you wondering "What's the allure of this band anyway?" well don't worry because I was just about to touch on that. One of the major hooks that caught my attention was what I look for in a lot of music. Their lyrics. When I listen to music I like it to mean something in a way that makes it interesting to listen to. Rise Against definitely lives up to these standards as do a ton of other artists. And you can bet there will be several lyrics from this band to come in later posts in addition to the numerous other musicians I listen to. So sit back, relax and enjoy the music yet to come.
